The University of Queensland Rifle club offers a “Come and Try” event, which is usually held on a Saturday morning. If you would like to experience target sports, please contact us.
You do not need a firearms licence to come and try – a licensed and qualified club member will be with you the whole time to ensure your experience is both safe and enjoyable. You also do not require a firearm to give target shooting a go, we will provide all you need for the morning.
If you enjoy your come and try session and decide you would like to take up full bore target shooting, then the best option is to get your firearms licence. We can help you with that.
As a member you will be able to borrow the club rifles and equipment on a Saturday afternoon until such time as you purchase your own rifle and equipment.
Our club members will be more than happy to help and assist you get started with target shooting to ensure you get started on the right foot.
The University of Queensland Rifle Club is based out of the Belmont Shooting Complex located in Belmont at 1485 Old Cleveland Rd, Belmont QLD 4153.
Our come and try mornings are held on Saturdays (by appointment only), while regular practises and fixture events are normally Saturday afternoons.
